Lately I keep reading these insightful articles, that only get me so excited! It inspires me to not only share it with everyone, but tell you my personal interpretation of this occasional gem.
So these few years have been both amazing and turbulent, but more than anything life changing and ever growing. I have learned and continue to learn not only about myself through me, but about myself through others. You might find me spamming you on instagram (I apologize in advance) but hey at least I don’t post 54 pictures in two days? right =x. Back to the article. If you guys don’t follow the huffington post, I highly recommend it! Great articles and lots of different sections.
Choosing your poison might be something you do, without even realizing it. I picked this title specifically “Pick your poison” because as read the article it asks you ; what pain do you want?.
Everyone has something worth fighting for.
I choose my poison when I fell in love, as I explained to my BF today. Relationships are a HUGE part of my life, and as you read everyone has different things they consider poison.
I have had the same best friends for almost 13 years, of course we fight, of course we want to rip eachothers throat out sometimes, (sorry girls & boys) but most importantly we always find it in us that the love, the experiences, and the bonds we have created together will always be bigger than any petty fight, that we will most likely fizzle away months from today. So yes back to my poison Love, I know what a hopeless romantic right? I am and I fell in love years ago, and even if it has been hard for us we always find ourselves back to each other. Why? because we choose the pain (no matter how painful), the struggle of working things out, instead of just throwing in the towel and deciding to go our separate ways. So yes Love, that’s my poison. Along with a couple more that trickle down the line of my particular poisons worth suffering for, I guess that right now has been my poison of choice, until the side effects subside and it’s only “rainbows and butterflies” at which point I can move onto the next pain of choice, Because we all want “to live a care-free, happy and easy life, to fall in love and have amazing sex and relationships, to look perfect and make money and be popular and well-respected and admired and a total baller to the point that people part like the Red Sea when you walk into the room” as Mr.Mark Manson so perfectly puts it.
“The truth is, everyone is going to hurt you. You just got to find the ones worth suffering for.”
so what is YOUR poison?
